In case you missed it, TCU beat Michigan, 51-45, while Georgia took down Ohio State, 42-41, to advance to this championship game. While the Bulldogs are the clear, double-digit favorites in this matchup and boast an elite defense, the Horned Frogs offense needs to be respected, as they just proved against the Wolverines. TCU quarterback Max Duggan is a dynamic, dual-threat QB that can hurt you in a variety of ways and personally accounted for four touchdowns against Michigan (two passing, two rushing).

Meanwhile, UGA has put up 37, 50 and 52 points in consecutive weeks under the leadership of veteran QB Stetson Bennett, who has been allowed to throw downfield more than previous quarterbacks in this typically run-heavy program. This isn't the defensive, ground-and-pound Georgia team that we're accustomed to seeing. I expect Georgia to win, but I can see this being a back-and-forth offensive thriller just like the semifinals were.

In the Fiesta Bowl, I pictured TCU getting down to Michigan early and using the second half to climb back in. Clearly that didn’t happen, but I think that’s going to be the case Monday. The Horned Frogs haven’t been down big at the half much this season, but when games are close at intermission, they tend to do the majority of their scoring in the second half. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, have led by at least seven at the half in 10 of their 14 games this season. I think we get a fast start by Georgia and watch TCU make this a game in the second half.

TCU might not win this game, but I think they can keep it close and cover this spread. They went 10-3-1 ATS this season and have covered six of their last eight, and their last loss was only by three points to Kansas State in the Big 12 title game. I think TCU knows its belongs in the national championship game and will give Georgia a run for its money while covering this spread.
