The college football season just ended, but that doesn't mean that we aren't looking ahead to next season to see if we can find some valuable futures bets on the board. TCU was a team that was a massive underdog to get to the College Football Playoff last season, and even more of an underdog to make the Championship game. You could have gotten massive odds on them before the season to do so, and the cash out would have been very profitable for you by the time the championship rolled around.

Let's take a look at a team that I think is undervalued in the market for next season in college football.

When you think of the Pac-12, everyone and their brother is going to immediately think of USC right away, and why wouldn't they? Lincoln Riley, Caleb Williams, and a really talented team that just missed the College Football Playoff last season is sure to get all the attention in the conference.

What if I told you that there is a team in the Pac-12 that I think will be better than they are, and even possibly possess the better QB? You'd think I was crazy talking about Bo Nix or Cam Rising, but it's neither of those two star signal-callers. A name that is going under the radar, and has been going under the radar for some time now, is Michael Penix Jr. This guy is actually really good and even led the nation last season in passer rating without anyone really talking about it. Washington got almost no consideration for going to the title game despite going 11-2 and being one of the more dominant teams in the entire country last year.

That was just the start too. Washington was actually far better than USC last year in a number of categories. They had the more explosive offense, and their defense actually knew how to tackle guys despite being less talented than the Trojans' defense. This article is beginning to sound like anti-USC propaganda, but it's just trying to show you that while USC got all the attention, the Huskies were everything USC should have been and more. Next season, they will be even better. They will return almost everyone from last year, including their best pass rushers. Head coach Kalen DeBoer certainly has put together a great squad in just his first season as head coach, with 11 wins and returning a treasure trove of talent on both sides of the ball.

Washington returns the nation’s No. 1 offense and quarterback, adds four 4-star talents from the transfer portal, including running back Dillon Johnson who is an absolute beast, and has arguably the best coach on the West Coast. Oh, and they also will have one of the most improved defenses from a year ago. They have a ton going for them in 2023, and I think this 40/1 number is shameful. I'd much rather ride with that number than take an Oregon or USC at much worse odds and in my opinion the lesser of the three. Give me the Huskies at +4000 to win the National Championship Game. They will have the QB, the defense, and the coach that is required to make a run and possibly give us a great cashout offer.
