We managed to get a nice win with the Wild yesterday at +150 on the ML, but unfortunately the Senators couldn’t come through for us at a massive +250. They only lost 2-1, so we were in striking distance at least. That’s OK, because while losing days are unavoidable, what matters is that you remain in the green at the end of each month, and we are solid there. Let’s pick some value out of this extremely small two-game slate and cash again tonight!

NHL Predictions For Today's Games
Penguins at Avalanche Prediction
With just two games on the ice, we really don’t have much to pick from today, but we’ll try to find the best value anyways. Let’s start off with the first game in Colorado, where the Avalanche will be taking on the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins. Every game down the stretch is going to be absolutely critical for the Penguins. If they want to secure a wild-card spot, they need to start winning right now. They’ve lost four straight, and other teams are starting to close the gap. Pittsburgh is scoring 3.19 goals per game and allowing 3.24, but they are outshooting their opponents 34.2 to 33.2 on average.
Meanwhile, the Avalanche just keep winning. They have won five straight and are red-hot right now, which is bad news for the Penguins. The defending Cup champs are really hard to take down at home. Colorado is scoring 3.28 goals per game and allowing 2.73, while also outshooting their opponents 33.1 to 31.3 on average.
MY PICK: Penguins ML (+140, DraftKings). The Avalanche are due for a cool-off, and the Penguins are just the team to give them that. Pittsburgh absolutely needs this game, while the Avs are sitting pretty. I think we see an inspired effort out of the Penguins tonight to get a victory.
Only one other game on the schedule tonight, and that is up in Canada, where the Edmonton Oilers will be welcoming in the Arizona Coyotes. This is a very lopsided matchup, which is why we see this line as high as it is. The ‘Yotes are about as bad as it gets on the road, and really bad when they take on a team with a winning record. Pair that with the fact that they just played (and lost) last night and you can see why the Oilers are -500 favorites. Arizona is scoring 2.77 goals per game and allowing 3.42, while getting outshot by their opponents on average, 35.7 to 25.8.
The Oilers are having goaltending problems again as always, but the good news for them is their offense is the best in hockey. They’ve won four straight games and now get a bad team on short rest. Edmonton is scoring 3.93 goals per game and allowing 3.31, while also outshooting their opponents 33.3 to 31.8 on average.
MY PICK: Oilers -2.5 (-115, BetMGM). The ultimate mismatch should mean a massive Oilers blowout, and that is what I think we get. The last time these two met up in Edmonton in December, the Oilers destroyed them, 8-2. I could see a somewhat similar result here.

Dan Karpuc: Avalanche -1.5 vs. Penguins (+155, DraftKings). Since the Penguins have gone just 2-14 SU as an underdog this season, I unsurprisingly think the Avalanche are going to win this game outright. However, I’m not betting anything in the -170 to -180 range. Therefore, targeting this puck line makes a lot more sense at plus-money. The Penguins have lost and failed to cover the puck line three straight times on the road and have gotten outscored 14-3 in those contests. We all know Colorado’s offense has the ability to go off any night and I’ll grab them to win by two goals or more in this matchup.
